November 1, 2007 through January 31, 2008 - Mile High Holidays Location: Denver Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau Description: Experience the magic of Mile High Holidays with exciting holiday entertainment, millions of twinkling lights, shopping specials and more. November 11, 2007 - December 1, 2007 - 9NEWS Parade of Lights Location: The streets of downtown Denver, from the front of Civic Center Park on Bannock Street at 14th Avenue Description: This is a great annual event for the holiday season. You get lights, you get marching bands, giant balloons, floats and delightful characters. Tickets: "Grandstand" tickets in front of the City and County Building are $15 for adults and children 13 and older while $12 for children 2 to 12, and free for the toddlers. Otherwise, it's free to be any spectator who wants to view the parade from the sidewalk. Believe me, any way to actually be there to see this parade is worth it. Times: Friday at 8:00pm and Saturday at 6:00pm November 23, 2007 through March 1, 2008 - The Pond Outdoor Ice Skating Rink - Begins and Ends Location: Southlands Shopping Center at 6155 South Main Street, Suite 260 in Aurora, Co. 80016 Description: Bring down friends and family, and enjoy some great fun on the ice this holiday season. The Pond is available for private parties, company gatherings and birthday parts from Dec. 1, 2007 to February 29, 2008. Prices: $9.00 with skate rental and $7.00 without Times: Monday-Saturday at 12:00am-9:00pm, Sunday 11:00am-8:00pm Theatre productions November 1, 2007 - Theatre of the Vampires in Boulder - Ends Location: Macky Auditorium on the Colorado University Campus Description: This is an award-winning sexy, suspenseful performance of aerial dance. Watch vampires getting jiggy with it in this "mix of Anne Rice meets Rocky Horror Picture show." Admission tickets: $13 to $69 Times: Wednesday and Thursday at 8:00pm November 1, 2007 - Miss Nelson is Missing! in Arvada - Ends Location: Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities at 6901 Wadsworth Boulevard, Arvada, Co. 80003 Description: This show is based on the children's book by Harry Allard and James Marshall of the same name. It should be great for the kids. Admission tickets: $8 for a general admission and $9 for weekend reserved admission Times: Tuesday-Friday 10:00am and 12:00, Sundays 1:00pm and 3:00pm November 1 through November 3, 2007 - Drive My Coche in Denver - Begins and Ends Location: El Centro Su Teatro at 4725 High Street Denver, Co. 80216 Description: It's about a young Chicano on the eve of his induction into the army as the Vietnam war rages. It stars Jesse Borrego and Valeria Hernandez. Admission tickets: N/A at this time Times: Thursday through Saturday at 8:05pm November 3, 2007 - For Better in Denver - Starts Location: Curious Theatre Company at 1080 Acoma Street in Denver, Co. 80204 Description: It's a world where no one keeps the same address for more than a few months. This farce is about love, personal relationships through re-dial and instant messaging. I imagine it should be fun and unique.
